NimbleX is a small Linux distribution which is able to run from a CD, USB drive or a network environment. It is based on Slackware with the use of linux-live scripts and it has many of this distribution's advantages, such as the availability of thousands of free software packages. Despite its size, it comes with a graphical interface and software for browsing the web, writing documents, listening to music, playing movies, basic server functionality and even more.

NimbleX is developed in Romania by Bogdan Radulescu, and is available in either a English or a Romanian language interface.

For old or slower computers, the default KDE desktop environment can be exchanged for one lower on resource usage.
