muLinux is a libc5-based Linux distribution, which has a basic installation fitted onto a single 1722K floppy disk, with optional floppy-disk add-ons. This allows the use of old computers as firewalls, printer servers, or data entry stations. There is a LiveCD version too, with an Xfce-like desktop environment, with GNOME support. The reason for the name "muLinux" is its tiny size, based on the Greek letter mu (μ), a Metric system prefix for "micro-"; its name is sometimes pronounced "Micro Linux".
