MeNTOPPIX is an Knoppix-based LiveCD. It is a complete Linux distribution running on a CD or DVD drive without using a hard drive.

The name "Mentoppix" is derived from "Knoppix" and "Mento", who had remastered it. Although Mentoppix is intended to be used as LiveCD it can also be installed to and booted from a hard disk.
