Gnuppix is a GNU operating system LiveCD running the Hurd on the L4 microkernel. The latest release, 0503, consists of hurd-l4 CVS version 20050301 and L4-Pistachio 0.4. Gnuppix cannot currently run useful programs; it is restricted to the kernel and main servers.

Another GNU LiveCD based on GNU Mach is available from Superunprivileged.org.

The GNU system is incomplete, and it is recommended for productive use to run GNU/Linux instead.

Currently (June 2006) the Gnuppix site no longer exists.
