Con Kolivas (born in Melbourne, Australia) is a practicing doctor in Australia. He wrote a benchmarking tool called ConTest which has proven to be tremendously useful to kernel developers, as it compares the performance of different versions of the Linux kernel.
He is also known for writing a popular series of Linux kernel patches designed to improve desktop responsiveness through redesigned schedulers and virtual memory managers.
