AMiLDA Linux is a Linux distribution suitable for embedded systems, specially routers. Currently it runs on the ADM5120 chipset. There are other distributions for this chipset, such as midge.
Features
* Stateful firewall
* DHCP server support
* Support for connections using static IP, dynamic IP, and PPPoE (although this is quite experimental).
* Expandable
* Stable
* Nice web configuration interface
Benefits
This distribution was designed in a way it would be very easy to add new software. That's why is uses a System V initialization scheme.
A key aspect is the easy-to-use web interface whic is quite good to configure the router. For the advanced users, shell access is provided so they can tweak the system a bit.
Development is open to anyone, with a section for contributed hacks (that probably won't be ever included on the official version).
